The aim of Ius Ecclesiae, the canon law review of the Pontifical Roman Atheneum of the Holy Cross, is to contribute to scientific reflection on the juridical experience of the Catholic Church. The review encourages not only research of a doctrinal character, but also the study of jurisprudential praxis and canonical administrative activity, within the diversified sphere of scientific orientations in harmony with the teaching of the Catholic Church. Special attention is reserved for the analysis of concrete normative data, in both universal and particular law - with the collaboration of correspondents scattered throughout the major countries of the world - thus promoting a wider knowledge of the diverse juridical factors which make up the international character peculiar to the law of the Catholic Church. Ius Ecclesiae was founded in 1989 and is published since then twice a year.
